"The art of photography has been practiced for generations. All photographers freeze time. Amateurs or professionals, hacks or artists, they look at what lies before them, they see and then freeze a moment in the narrative of the world. The photographer see's and the camera records. The art lies in the quality of seeing. A brush and palette does not give us the painting, the piano does not write a sonata! It is a lot more about relating to people than pressing a shutter button".
That is what I hope to share with you, my visions of the world as I see it and that you find enjoyment from my art.

My training was initially in large format film with structured field and classroom taught by renowned teachers of their day. I now shoot in the digital format as this exciting realm has made photography extremely rich and rewarding for me.
Not being chained to a fixed area with a darkroom, being able to edit on the fly was something I never could have envisioned forty years ago when I began this journey. Tremendous freedom to create! There are so many excellent artists in the medium of photography, that I am always awed and inspired to learn more, to see more and to hopefully be there to capture that moment when it happens.
